Major Trading is a family business specialising in coloured gemstones for the world's most demanding watch and jewellery houses. Founded in 1987, we work from offices in London, Geneva, and Paris.
Who we are
Major Trading supplies precision-calibrated coloured gemstones to Swiss watchmakers and luxury jewellery houses worldwide, with documented provenance at every step.
We are B2B only. Our clients are procurement and design teams at Tier 1 Swiss watchmakers, French luxury jewellery houses, independent jewellers, and designer-makers. We do not sell retail.
Our work is precision, provenance, and partnership. The work itself is what makes the difference: how we calibrate, how we source, how we document.

The technical standard. ±0.02mm calibration tolerances, colour matching to reference masters, full QC documentation before every delivery.

The stone's journey. Our Five-Level Traceability Standard documents origin from mine to manufacture, supporting ESG compliance and brand storytelling.
